1/13/1993 Be aware that explicit pathing is required for XLabel. We place it in the Windows subdirectory. Users with clean pathing that install XLabel into its own subdirectory have reported no problems. Others have found two types of errors. The first might be an exception error and XLabel fails to load. (Found most in German versions of Windows). The second might be an empty label definitions list box at the bottom of the Label definitions dialog box. In either case, placing the XLabel.ini file into the windows subdirectory will solve the problem. BE SURE to place XLabel.ini into Windows subdirectory. Also there is a reported problem of addresses creeping down and off the labels that they were intended for when XLabel is used with certain PostScript printers that deliver resolutions of 600dpi. If you have any non PostScript 600 dpi printer, you are probably ok. We have XLabel running with high speed remote mounted UNIX printers running on UNIX or Solaris machines with seriously large print jobs wiht no trouble. These printers are delivering better than 600 dpi without creep. Features currenly in development: 1) Capture to file from Quick print selections. 2) Heads down data entry for addresses. 3) Bitmap placement. 4) Divergent size labels on the same sheet. 5) Clipboard support.
